PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We think that having young volunteers in Saïx is the best way to make young people aware of the benefits of multi-multiculturalism and discovering of other cultures. This program will energize our youth-oriented actions. The main objectives in this project are:
- Promote international mobility on our territory and in particular ERASMUS+
- Help the development of youth information networks in the area.
- Develop a project with a cultural theme for youth
- Create a cultural event in which two European volunteers will go through our actions to become “Mobility ambassadors”. They will participate in different projects that we will put in place over the year (holidays, youth camps, cultural activities, sports events…).
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
You will accommodated in a fully equipped apartment just 1 min by foot from MJC Saïx. Each volunteer will have a single room and they will share kitchen, big living room and bathroom. For transportation you will be given a car and bicycles. Please, keep in mind that you will need a car here almost every day – to go to CCSA, RIJ, to the shops or cafes. An allowance no less than 295 euros/ months will be provided for food and pocket money.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
We will make sure that the volunteers follow Erasmus+ training (on-arrival and midterm training) and evaluation cycles and upon request of the volunteer we will issue the “Youthpass” certificate – First diploma of animation (BAFA) and / or first aid (PSC1) (possible if you wish) – Language diploma: DELF (possible if you wish).
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
We are looking for a volunteer between 20 and 30 years old. With a little experience in organizing events (if possible), passionate about working with children and young people and interested in culture. It would be great if the volunteer is able to take initiatives and propose their ideas. Willing to spend a year in a small town.
Driving license or some knowledge about French will be taken in consideration.
The candidates do not have to fit all the criteria mentioned above. We choose our volunteers according to their motivation first of all.
