Bona Fides Association and MJC Intermèdes Robinson are looking for Polish volunteers or residents in Poland, to join our ESC project, working with kids with social pedagogy methods and other activities. Organization and Project 

The organization works with people living in shanty towns, emergency housing and suburbs. A large part of the public are children participating by themselves or with their parents. We work with children of all ages, with educational and health projects. The activities take placeoutdoors, in the natural environment of kids and adults. We propose children to express themselves with all types of art: writing, dancing, singing, etc. The volunteer will join our team of 5 social pedagogues. We also work with a young volunteer from our area and other volunteers involved in the association (families, retired or unemployed persons, etc.) He/she will be charged to propose and realize activities like cooking workshops, looking for children and everything is necessary to prepare the workshops he/she will participate: materials, cleaning and briefing. If the volunteer is a musician, he/she could also join our group of singers and dancers, called “Aven Savore”. 

Training and opportunities 

In order to carry out daily activities, the organisation will provide training about its educational methods. The volunteers will be trained in accordance with social pedagogy theories. Moreover, the volunteers will regularly meet other volunteers hosted by MJCs located in Ile-de-France region. These meetings will be organised by Fédération des MJC in Ile-de-France. Their aim will be sharing experiences, reinforce linguistic and social skills and develop a common project in a group dynamics.

Volunteer profile 

  • We are looking for a dynamic and active volunteer with great curiosity for other cultures and different ways of living.
  • Interested in the idea of the project and multicultural environments.
  • Between 18 and 30 years old.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will be hosted in a private room by the place of a member of the team. It is a private room with all commodities. The house is located about 4 kms far from our organization. Food can be provided during the weekdays and it’s possible to cook during the working time (the organisation has a kitchen). The volunteer could cook alone or with the rest of the team, depending of the day, or could buy his/her own food.
