Project description
“Happiness is real only if shared” is one European Solidarity Corps project that unities 4youth in order to carry on and keep going the solidarity spirit that is the main value of the volunteering missions. In this project the volunteers will be able to experience different activities and fields of action and everyone can bring their own personal proposals; this will give the volunteer theopportunity to realize personal projects andembarking on a path of creativity and empowerment.

SMART ASSOCIATION is non for profit organization located in the south of Italy (province of Lecce, region Puglia). JUMP IN is build from young people thatstrongly believe in diversity, cultural understanding and tolerance, education, supporting youth professionalization and support the inclusion of disable groups in the local community.
SMART deals with: cultural events (conference, seminars, cine forum,concerts, art exhibitions); intercultural activities (programs and projects ofyouth mobility, education on international topics, promotion of different cultures in Italy and abroad, welcome activities of tourists and foreigners,promotion of Youth in Action Programs); Education activities (education projects in schoolsand on an extra-schools basis throughout a non-formal education method focused on activecitizenship, European conscience, against racism and xenophobia, human rights principles); Territorial promotion (promotion of its typicalaspects, its artists, tourism, sport activities)…
Project 1: Marketing & Social Media Volunteer
Volunteer profile:
Enthusiastic person that is creative and always wantto bring forward some new idea and to initiate. Has skills in marketing,and already know (professionally and/or by personal experience) theplatforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube andsimilar;Has skills in Adobe illustrator, Abobe photoshop orCanvaHas camera and/or has passion for photography.
Volunteer’ s tasks:
- Creating visual and digital content (posters,digital manules, logos and similar) for theAssociation.
- Managing with all the social media pages of theAssociation,
- Copy writing, creating ideas, planning and organizing online events on Social media.
- Creating and managing blog pages for projects, help and support for the dissemination phase for the projects of the Association and Other task related.

Project 2: Language Teaching Volunteer (English)
Volunteer profile:
Enthusiastic person that is responsible, and has ability to work with youth and manage in theclassroom, as well patient, tolerant, and communicative. Has excellent knowledge in English language: verbal and written.
The volunteer will learn the historical period that the Museum represent Do touristic tours for representation of the Museum archaeological facts Collaborate with the other volunteers in the Museum and other tasks related
Volunteer’ s tasks:
- Support and assist the English professor in the localhigh school for hospitality management in the Englishcaless
- Creating non formal activities (games, art activity andsimilar), to add interactive element in the classroom according to the directions of the English professor
- Perform non formal education activities in theclassroom.
- Create activities in order to present his/her ownculture of the contry of origine
- Help and support the English learning process of thestudents

Project 3: Language Teaching Volunteer (French)
Volunteer Profile:
Enthusiastic person that is responsible, and hasability to work with youth and manage in theclassroom, as well patient, tolerant, andcommunicativeHas French language like mother toungue or hasexcellent knowledge in French language: verbal and written.
Volunteer’ s tasks:
- Support and assist the French professor in the local middle school in the French classes
- Creating non formal activities (games, art activityand similar), to add interactive element in theclassroom -according to the directions of the French professor Perform non formal education activities in the classroom.
- Create activities in order to present his/her own culture of the contry of origine.
- Help and support the French learning processof the students.
- Other related tasks.

Project 4: Marketing & Social Media Volunteer
Volunteer Profile:
Enthusiastic person that is responsible, and hasgood knowledge of history and / or is interested indiscovering the history of Salento/ Italy, or toimprove English or/and Italian languageHas good skills in working with foreigner people,communication verbal and non – verbal.
Volunteer’ s tasks:
The volunteer will attend the Museum Prince’sPalace in the city Muro Leccese (10 km from theaccommodation place).
- Learn the historical period that the Museumrepresent
- Doing touristic tours for representation of the Museum archaeological facts
- Collaborating with the other Italian volunteers in the Museum

Project 5: Disability Center
Volunteer Profile:
Enthusiastic person that is responsible, and is willing to work with disable people. In the same that is tolerant and candevelop empathy.Is very important the volunteer to haveknowledge in psychology pedagogy and /or defectology.

Volunteer’ s tasks:
The volunteer will attend the Disable Center located in Poggiardo
- Working with the educator in the Disability center in order to create activities (in door andout door) that can help the disable attendantsto deploy.

Working hours and days off
Total working hours of the volunteer per week: 35. The volunteer has two consecutive days off per week.
Italian Lessons shall be two times per week(Tuesday and Thursday) from 17 till 18.30 in theMunicipality of Poggiardo
Holidays will be taken according to the previous agreement with the Association.
Accommodation and other expenses
The volunteers will be accommodated in an apartment located in Poggiardo, province of Lecce, region Puglia. The apartment is big with 4 rooms two bathrooms, kitchen, balcony, extra room where is the washing machine and a space in the terazza. The apartment can receive max. 2 people per room and 4 users per bathroom, total 8 person. The kitchen is having two fridges, 1 kettle, cooker and oven, kitchen elements for storing, sheleves for storing goods, microwave, kitchen tablewith seats and small living room couch. Every room has two beds, closets for clouting, small table and nighttable. The bathroom has a beauty mirror, shelves, tush cabine, toilet and sink.
Pocket money: According to the Erasmus plus programe, the volunteer will receive a monthly pocket money of 115 euro each month.
Food money: The volunteer will receive a food allowance of 130 euro per month to buy food.
