Bona Fides Association and SEEDS are looking for volunteers from Poland or residents, to join our European Solidarity Corps project in Reykjavík, Iceland in order to work on nature-oriented, outdoor and environmental issues. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SEEDS is an Icelandic non-governmental, non-profit-organisation with international scope. Our main field of activities are related to the promotion of volunteering and cultural understanding.
The volunteers will have the role of Environmental Camp Leader. Accommodation, food, pocket money and travel grant are covered.
VOLUNTEER’S TASKS
- Helping the short-term volunteers (camp participants) feel comfortable with the project.
- Developing activities such as icebreakers, study sessions, workshops, group discussions, etc.
- Taking care of the adequate use of resources and supplies in the camps.
- Being a SEEDS ambassador and representative on the project sites.
- Organising an international evening, this is a social event accompanied by typical dishes prepared by the participants and in some occasions with games and music or short presentations from their countries.
VOLUNTEER’S PROFILE
- MUST be aged between 18 and 30.
- Interested in environmental issues.
- Interested to spend time with people from all over the world.
- Positive and flexible.
- Ready to lead international groups.
- Ready to work outside.
