Activities: The activities are focus on supporting an educational workshops provided by our organization to the local community through weekly workshops realized in the 3 different setting in order to reach different target group: Unemployed people at the Emplyoment Center of the Province, young people at Youth Center and Local Community at Cultural Center “Biblioteca San Giovanni” in collaboration with Informagiovani of Pesaro.
The activity is not an English lesson led by a teacher but interactive workshops address to intergenerational people from local community based on nonformal education methods where participants are invited to practice English being actively involved in games and energizers. The activities are addressed to different target group aged between 20 up to 60 years old depending in which of the 3 setting they are. EVS will support the youth worker in social animation field and they could also give own personal contribution as part of the team finding a new way of communicate and interact with locals of different ages using creativity and own initaitives.
Moreover the volunteer can support the promotion and help on spreading the information among youth through peer to peer education using their own creativity.
Last but not least, they will be stimulated to use own creativity and initiatives to support the visibility measure of the initiatives.
Being involved in the whole process of workshops represents an important learning experience for a youngster and in particular, among all the competences, to get familiar with a lifelonglearning concept which can change their learning to learn attitude.
At local level, the volunteer will bring an intercultural influence to the local workshop and activities stimulating tolerance and openmind attitude on local volunteers, member of the association and youngster which will interact with the volunteer. Presence of EVS volunteer will show the added values of international initiatives and aspects even in local events developing the youth field contribute on the development of the European awarenees also in the local partners and stakeholder and on their active role on building the European Society stimulating the local stakeholder to work on the direction of integrating more activities at international level. At international level it will create and strengthen intercultural bridges between different countries.
The working place: will be Vicolocorto Office, in the city centre of Pesaro, 10 min from the train station and seaside. The volunteer is suggested to bring own computer.
The accommodation will be in the EVS house rented by the Receiving Organisation in proximity of the city centre, that can be reached by bus in 15 min. The volunteer will receive a monthly ticket covering that bus line. The volunteer will be accommodated in double/triple room divided by gender. The flat will be shared with the other EVS volunteers and has all the needed facilities (washing machine, full equipped kitchen and internet connection) Bed sheets for single bed needs to be brought by the volunteer, while the blankets will be provided by the Receiving Organisation.
Pocket money: The volunteers will receive pocket money in the amount of 115,00 euro in cash the first Monday of every month during the tutoring meeting.
Food: the volunteer will buy and cook the meals by him/herself, the hosting organisation will give a food allowance of 150 eur/month on the first Monday of each month, during the tutoring meeting.
The volunteer will sign the document confirming that he/she is receiving the money and at the same time is giving to the tutor the bills covering the past month’s food money. If the bills are not enough to cover the previous month’s food expenses, the difference will be deducted from the current month’s food allowance.
