Bona Fides and MOJU – Associação Movimento Juvenil are looking for active and motivate Polish volunteers, or residents in Poland, to join our long – term ESC Project “VESSEL Project” in the sunny city of Olhão in the south Portugal. Project activities

The volunteers will have the opportunity to experience a totally different culture, to learn and experience new things, to use the knowledge experience gained in their countries so that they can act as a liaison between partner organisation in one of the most beautiful country in Europe. The volunteers will work with teenagers and people with fewer opportunities and at risk of exclusion. They’ll be involved in different projects promoted by the hosting organisation and will be encouraged to develop and implement their own projects and/or ideas. Volunteers will attend 3 hours a week of Portuguese lesson and OLS will be the official tool to use to learn Portuguese during the Project.

Volunteer’s profile

We are looking for volunteers aged between 18 – 30 y/o. There is not any difference about gender and study area. We will pay attention for those volunteers that express the interest to work with children; the volunteer must be ready to work close to people with fewer opportunities, since these will be the main goal of the proposed activities.

Practicalities

Accommodation: The volunteer will live in a furnished rented flat shared with other volunteers, close to the office and not far from the center of the town. The volunteers will have their own bedroom or share it with another volunteer, a shared kitchen and bathroom.

Food and Pocket money: The monthly contribution for food will be provided to every volunteer and volunteers will receive monthly pocket money as stipulated by European Solidarity Corps. These two amounts will be paid at the beginning of every month.
