Lunaria is a nonprofit organization. It promotes peace, social and economic justice, equality and guarantee of citizenship rights, democracy and participation from below, social inclusion, and intercultural dialogue.

Work

The volunteers will support the activities implemented of the association to promote and support the organization of the workcamps season. Lunaria, each year, involves around 500 Italian volunteers in international workcamps abroad, and in the meantime hosts around 250 international volunteers in the 25 workcamps organized in Italy. These projects last 2-3 weeks and include dozens of volunteers from around the world in a project of general interest: restoration of local heritage or historical monuments, cleaning and development of natural areas, and socio-cultural animation in urban areas.

What’s the mission? 

You’ll play a vital role in supporting Lunaria’s work in organizing workcamps. These camps bring together volunteers from around the world to work on projects of general interest, such as restoring historical monuments, preserving natural areas, and animating urban spaces. Accommodation and food arrangements

The project will cover the food and lodgement costs through a monthly fee. Participants will receive the amount directly every month and will be in charge of identifying, by themselves, the most suitable hosting solution in Rome.

Requirements

  • – Aged 18-30.
  • – Strong motivation for youth volunteer projects.
  • – Good English skills (spoken and written).
  • – Basic knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • – Familiarity with international voluntary service projects is a bonus.
  • – If you’ve participated in work camps or other international youth projects, your application will stand out.
