Regular youngCaritas activities for volunteers:
The youngCaritas staff offers the volunteers several activities such as Informal language learning meetings, intercultural meetings, and cooking sessions that can be organized for and by the volunteers themselves. The volunteers are invited to different Caritas events like art expositions, workshops, and panel discussions on actual political topics and more.
The volunteers support the youngCaritas staff in the planning and implementation of their projects and activities and can actively contribute their ideas. For example:
– CaféTalk: A topic, a guest, a cozy place, and a desire to talk: these are the ingredients for a CaféTalk. A project that is a space and an opportunity for young people to be protagonists. In the choice of theme, host, modalities, etc.
– Swap Party: It is an event based on sustainability where you can give a second life to used clothes. It is an opportunity for people to become aware of the fast-fashion industry by recycling their clothes.
Volunteers will be doing 30-35 hours/week, from Monday to Friday. Sometimes the volunteer will be requested to provide service on weekends as well. In any case, volunteers will not do voluntary service more than 5 days/week and will always have 2 days off.
