Bona Fides Association has an urgent opportunity for a Polish volunteer to join a 9-months project with Jugendbildungsstätte Unterfranken at the after-school care centre and at the school in Rimpar, Germany!

Place: Rimpar (Bavaria), Germany
Dates: 01.11.2025 – 15.08.2026
Duration: 9 months
The project will take place in two places: at the after-school care centre and at the school.
1. After school care (Hort)
https://www.rimpar.de/kindertageseinrichtungen/kinderhort tintenklecks
In the Hort Tintenklecks we look after 50 children aged 6-12 years. The children come there after school and get a warm meal with starter and dessert. In the afternoon we support the children with their homework. After they can make a lot of arts, games, creative activities, handicraft etc. Even in the holiday season, the children can come from 7.30-17.00 clock. There we offer a colorful leisure program. Above all, the children appreciate our attractive and extensive outdoor area and the use of the gym.
The Hort understands itself as a state approved, family supportive and complementary facility. By educating children to become independent and responsible people, in which each individual, regardless of their performance, is accepted and respected, we are able to create a place of security.
We try to convey values and orientation to children of different cultures, different ages and orientations.
The volunteers will have the chance to participate in the organization of different tasks and events and, if applicable, execute them. There will be the chance to propose own ideas and realize them.
2. Primary school
The volunteers will help in school in different fields. A weekly commitment of approximately seven hours is intended, with the exact schedule to be coordinated and communicated to the volunteers in due time. Volunteers are expected to support various areas of everyday school life. This includes, in particular, assisting in physical education classes, where they can help supervise students and support the execution of exercises and games. Support is also planned in music classes. Additionally, there is the possibility for volunteers to assist in English classes – by facilitating learning games, supporting individual students, or contributing their own language skills.
Moreover, volunteers will be needed for extracurricular activities such as field trips, excursions, or class days.
Practical arrangements
the volunteers will receive: separate room in a flat, pocket money (around 210 € a month), food money (around 333€ a month), German language course, insurance, reimbursement of the international travel costs, two seminars with other volunteers, pedagogical, organizational and personal support, monthly meetings with the other volunteers from Lower Franconia, Deutschland-Ticket (for public transport and regional trains across Germany)
The project is coordinated by an experienced ESC coordinating organisation Jugendbildungsstätte Unterfranken (www.jubi-unterfranken.de), which is supporting around 15 volunteers in the region a year.
The European volunteers will be supervised by the experienced pedagogues. The supervisors have experience to ensure the introduction and support of the volunteers. They also plan to share the learning objectives (each volunteer gets an individual training plan). The hosting project cooperates with the Jugendbildungsstätte Unterfranken – the Jubi will assume the role of the coordinating organization and support the Communal Youth Work in Rimpar in the ESC project.
Profile of the volunteer
We are looking for a volunteer between 18 and 30 years old who is interested in culture, art and youth work. The person should be highly motivated and committed, eager to spend time with children, look after them, and spend time with them in a meaningful and creative way. The knowledge of German language will be an advantage.
