Bona Fides Association is looking for volunteers from Poland (18 – 30yo) to join an ESC project with PiGreco-SEMI di intercultura APS at Babele ODV in Pavia, Italy! 

Place: Pavia, Italy
Dates: February 12th – July 31th 2026 or March 20th – July 31th 2026
Duration: 5,5 or 4,5 months
Deadline for applications: January 31st 2026

Who are we

Babele ODV stands for intercultural dialogue, non-formal education, support to families and social cohesion.

The association works in community centers, youth centers, schools and summer camps, carrying on different projects on interculture, prejudices, antiracism, recycling, environment and urban cohesion in the peripheries of the town.

All of our actions focus on personal and educational development through diversified activities focused on empowerment.

Project mission and aim

Our Mission:
With this project, our goal is to foster a vibrant and intercultural environment right here in Pavia. It’s our vision to unite people from various corners of Europe, creating a tapestry of cultures that shares common values of tolerance and peace.

Project Aim:
We’re here to create an inclusive and intercultural community in Pavia. By uniting young people from different European countries, our aim is to foster tolerance and peace within our local community. Our aim is also to work against educational poverty in our local community and implement projects related to sustainability and reuse

Activity

The activities will be equally divided into learning and volunteering; they will follow a learning by doing approach in the frame of non-formal education.

🔹 Welcoming users of the reuse space;
🔹 Organizing the space everytime it is needed;
🔹 Organizing workshops about the for kids (3-10 years);
🔹 Back office activities and help with European organization for various projects and activities;
🔹 Helping youngsters with homework and studying.

Skills you’ll gain

🔹 Teamwork skills/supporting during NFE activities;
🔹 Learn how to create and lead a NFE activity;
🔹 Communicative skills with youth workers, teenagers and children;
🔹 Handling and solving problems: whether personal or between your team;
🔹 Office work;
🔹 Digital skills: graphics and social media;
🔹 Learn how youngsters can support in local community based activities;
🔹 Experience the life of this multicultural city.

The project covers

🔹 Accommodation in a shared flat with single room;
🔹 Pocket money 150 euros per month;
🔹 Food 180 euros per month;
🔹 Babele will provide for the local transportation;
🔹 Travel expenses according to the calculated distance between your city and Pavia;
🔹 Italian Speexx platform access to learn Italian
🔹 Training about the tasks and soft skills;
🔹 Local mentor;
🔹 Support for the integration and inclusion.

Participant profile 

We’re looking for 2 volunteers between 18 to 30. We don’t select our volunteers according to previous knowledge or experience but only according to motivation. So, please, read the description of the project carefully before applying. We don’t select according to gender, sexual orientation, ethnic group, income.
