Bona Fides Association and AStrauss APS have just opened 4 calls for a total of 10 short term male volunteers to be hosted in Mussomeli (Sicily) in late September.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be involved in activities 5 days per week, with a maximum of 35 working hours. They will live together in the beautiful Spinnato palace, a historical place in the center of Mussomeli, right above Strauss APS headquarters. The flat is very large and contains all the necessary facilities, including a large terrace. Look at the flat here:

Volunteers are going to share the rooms, according to gender and/or other requests. The volunteer will receive a total amount of 342,00€, which include pocket money as established by the program and pocket food.

  • Promoting EU Values, Solidarity, and Volunteering in local youth: Educate local youth about the values of the European Union, the importance of solidarity, and the benefits of volunteering within the European context.

  • Mentoring and Emotional Support: offering emotional support, being positive role models
  • Educational Support: assisting with homework, tutoring in specific subjects
  • Recreational Activities: organizing in recreational activities such as (sports, arts and crafts, games, etc.)
  • Life Skills: offering guidance on essential life skills to empower minors to become more self-sufficient and prepare them for independent living
  • Cultural and Language Learning: sharing cultures with the minors and, in turn, learn about the local culture.
  • Personal Development: opportunity to develop their skills, i.e. communication, teamwork and intercultural competence, both in volunteers and participants
