Bona Fides Association and The Körperbehinderten-Verein Stuttgart e.V are looking for Polish volunteers for 2 ESC 8-months projects in Stuttgart, Germany!
The open places are in a school for disabled kids (Margarete-Steiff-Schule) and a day care center for disabled adults (KBV)

1. Margarete-Steiff-Schule: Learn from and with disabled children
Position available
- looking for two volunteers, age 18 to 30, EU-resident
- dates of ESC: as soon as possible, ending August 31, 2026

Your hosting organisation
The KBV (association for disabled people) offers various services for people with disabilities including an assistance service at the municipal Margarete Steiff School for disabled children. The school covers all grade levels. It has a unique support system for its students: 140 employees care for roughly 170 students.
Your tasks as a volunteer
- Support children with physical disabilities in mobility, e.g. helping them go to the bathroom or use their wheelchair
- Work together with the special education teacher and a team consisting of physiotherapists, nurses, assistants and accompany the children and young people in a class of five to six children in their daily school lessons
- In the Alex Club area, you can choose for yourself whether you want to focus more on the leisure activities during the week, at the weekends, or the leisure activities during school breaks
Requirements for volunteers
- Willingness to participate in personal care activities
- Willingness to work weekends (about 1/month)
- Basic level of German (A2)
Key facts
- 26 days of annual leave (have to be taken during the school breaks!)
- 36 weekly hours on average, may vary due to school breaks
- Optional lunch available in the school cafeteria (not free)
2. KBV Stuttgart: Support adults with special needs in their daily lives
Position available
- looking for one volunteer, age 18-30, EU-resident
- dates of ESC: as soon as possible, ending August 31, 2026

Your hosting organisation
The Körperbehinderten-Verein Stuttgart e.V. aims to enable people with disabilities to lead a self-determined life and participate in society. KBV Stuttgart provides various outpatient services as well as a day care center for adults with complex disabilities and high care needs. Its main areas of focus include leisure activities, family support services (FED) and services in people’s own homes.
Your tasks as a volunteer
- Organization and implementation of leisure activities such as games, handicrafts or excursions.
- Support with basic care, e.g. serving meals or helping with dressing, support with household tasks such as laundry and cleaning communal areas.
- Communication and promotion of social contacts within and outside the shared flat.
- Participation in team meetings and internal training courses.
Requirements for volunteers
- willingness to participate in personal care activities
- basic level of German (A2)
Key Facts
- 35 weekly hours plus German class
- work in shifts and on two weekends per month
- 26 days of annual leave
