One volunteer that we are currently looking for will acquire new knowledge and skills in various fields through participation in the implementation and coordination of the NowWeMOVE Bulgaria campaign and MOVE Week, which are part of the pan-European campaign NowWeMOVE initiated by ISCA, and MOVE Week – an initiative that is fighting with the lack of physical activity in Europe, by inspiring local MOVE Agents and organisation in providing opportunities for sport and physical activity for all.
The project reflects the commitment of BGBA for development and the transfer of innovative, multiplier programs in the field of physical activity for health and wellbeing by promoting of ‘sport for all’ and its social and health dimensions, thus aims to change the situation in the country in a positive way. This project not only enables the participating volunteers to be active European citizens through their activities in BGBA (Plovdiv), but also has an impact on the Bulgarian country and even Europe, by promoting European values, volunteering and healthy lifestyle.

This is your opportunity to experience something new, broaden your horizons, discover a different culture and gain experience in the field of international youth, sport and culture. Seize the opportunity to become an EVS volunteer with BGBA in Bulgaria!

You will live in the beautiful Kapana district in Plovdiv with 2 other of BGBA’s volunteers (from Germany and Ukraine). Kapana is know as gather point for young people and its the place for all kind of creative industries.

Tasks
You will be part of this pan-European campaign organized by ISCA and coordinated by BGBAA in Bulgaria, in particular with a view to marketing, event organization, country-specific promotion, etc. See more at www.nowwemove.com and http://www.moveweekbg.info/
You will therefore be able to challenge yourself in tasks such as:
• Event organization
• Communication and marketing
• Analysis and reporting
• Fundraising

Criteria

The working language at the office will be english, so there are minimal requirements for english language skills!
– Interests in sport and physical activity
– Motivation
– Education/qualifications
– Experience in the fields of sport, physical activity, and/or youth organisations, NGOs – English language skills

Procedure
Candidates must apply with CV and motivational letter, both in english. With the shortlisted candidates will be made an interview via Skype. The selection process will be accomplished through consideration of the interests, motivation and attributes of the candidates with regard to the activities of the available projects. Openness and transparency is ensured in a selection process where criteria are available to everybody and in which all applicants will be informed about the results as well as the reasons for these results.
