Description of the organization:
Rey Ardid Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was created in 1991 to attend the needs of people affected by a mental illness. In these 20 years of experience our organization has grown and increased its social presence, working with other colectives. The common denominator is the vulnerability and social exclusion, regardless of the circumstances causing the need for support for inclusion.

It has its rationale in its usefulness for individuals and groups with disabilities especially those related to mental health, and other groups who have difficulties with social/labor integration, such as childhood, youth and elderly to achieve social/ labor full participation, to have covered their needs and to improve their quality of life and their families.

In order to attend this needs we have developed differents services and programs adapted to the circunstances of each person: programs for development of assistance activities, prevention, rehabilitation, social/labor integration, training, artistic expression and cultural and leisure programs. Their task has been articulated around management, either directly or through affiliated entities, and social-service programs whose recipients have in common the difficulty to meet worthily the challenges imposed by social life today.

We are working around 300 people from different professional backgrounds (administrative, psychologists, social workers, accounting, etc…). In the Foundation volunteer participation is very important, at the moment there are more than 80 local volunteers.

Project description
The activities will take place in two main areas:
MENTAL HEALTH:
This part is located in the Social Club. The Social Club is a resource to facilitate the social integration through leisure and recreation with adults affected by mental illness who are in a stable clinical condition. The programmes are:
• Leisure time Program: cooking, theatre, languages, games, sport, etc… The Summer Camp week-long is part within this program.
• Awareness program in schools, high schools and other centers where, in addition to reporting the reality of mental illness.
IMMIGRATION:
Within the Integration department it develops a project to meet the specific needs of immigrants. The activities carried out are:
• Training for immigrants. Workshops and Spanish literacy, computer, job search and training for immigrant women.
• Intercultural activities. Volunteers participate in outside activities to promote cultural exchange (with other young adults, users of other services, etc.).

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The travel, accommodation and subsistence costs will be funded by Erasmus + Programme.

Keep in mind that travel costs will be funded under the Erasmus+ distance calculator (http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/tools/distance_en.htm).

Volunteer profile
People aged between 18 and 30, a legal resident of the country of the Sending Organization.
