PROJECT DESCRIPTION
La Maison des Jeunes (MJ) is a Youth Club which is an association financed by the French Community of Belgium.
The youngsters that come to the youth house are between 12 & 26 year old. The youth participates in activities such as: dance, African drumming, music courses, fashion design workshops, organization of concerts, events and radio emissions.
The volunteer will have the possibility to participate in all of this activities, but also will have the support to create new ones, such as artistic workshops, sport activities, organization of cultural events or free time activities in the youth club.
TRAINING, ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER ARRANGEMENTS
The accommodation, food and pocket money, health insurance and language lessons are covered and financed by the European Commission.
VOLUNTEER’S PROFILE
We are looking for a motivated young volunteer (18 – 30 years), passionate about working with youngsters and teenagers. Creative, open minded and happy to help.
