Bona Fides Association and Associazione di promozione sociale “Ianua Australis” are looking for volunteer from Poland or Polish resident, to join our ESC project “Skin in the game” in Torre del Greco, Naples, Italy in order to work with the local community and solve environmental care of the territory. AIM OF THE PROJECT
Contributing to the well-being of the population through the creation of a sense of community by solving two main problems:
– the growing marginalisation of a part of the local community;
– the scarce environmental care of the territory.
BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE STAY
Duration of approx. 350 days from January to December 2022 4 volunteers sharing a flat with 2 other volunteers, who are already implementing another project and are going to stay until May.
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS
-> Up to 275 euros in travelling costs 5 euros/day as pocket money;
-> 80 euros for food costs accomodation is completely covered;
-> Health insurance costs are fully covered;
-> Italian classes 10 hours a month per participant;
-> Free weekends and two additional free days per month which can be accumulated.
ACTIVITIES
-> Service in the Caritas-run soup kitchen in Torre del Greco, which helps people in situations of economic vulnerability;
-> Preservation and environmental education activities;
-> Language assistants in schools throughout the Naples metropolitan area that will involve both curricular and extracurricular activities.
ELIGIBLE PARTCIPANTS
We’re looking for volunteers who are proactive, responsible, easy-going, with great motivations and adaptability. Young people between 18 and 25 years old (not mandatory, but highly preferable) who are legally residing in the European Union and have registered in the European Solidarity Corps Portal.
