Bona Fides Association and Associazione Joint are looking for 3 volunteers from Poland or Polish resident, to join our ESC project in Istituto Walden (Menfi, Sicily) to support the educators in a shelter for young people who are on a path towards rehabilitation and social inclusion.

VOLUNTEER’S TASKS
The main purpose of Istituto Walden is support young people in their social and personal growth
To do it, we need your help
- – Support youngsters’ education with after-school activities (homework support, lessons of foreign language, educational workshops)
- – Create fun and engaging workshops: cooking, theatre, music…
- – Share and teach your mother tongue
- – Volunteers will be working 5 days per week, for maximum 35 working hours per week.
- – Organize celebrations for special occasions: carnival, Christmas, Easter, etc
- – Manage the daily life in the community: prepare meals to share with everyone, keep the space clean and welcoming, help the residents with their everyday needs
- – Discover the town and surrounding area while accompanying the youngsters on trips, to the beach or on errands
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
The organisation is lookin for a motivated volunteer, avaible to work with young people that come from different social backgrounds (majority of male teenagers). For this reason this person should be patient, creative and positive.
Like in the others ESC projects, also in this volunteers are invited to be proactive and reliable in a crisis and able to work in a team.
THE PROJECT INCLUDES:
> A pocket money of 5 euros per day for month will be provided plus 90 euros per month for covering the food
expenses. One meal per day (lunch or dinner) will be in the organization.
> The travel expenses will be reimbursed on the basis defined by the European Commission.
> An online italian language course will be provided.
> Volunteers should bring with them towelsand sheets, and most important your laptop, indispensable to work and
a very good ally in learning italian!
