PROJECT DESCRIPTION
MARKKUU NATURE ACTIVITY CAMP is a European Solidarity Corps volunteering team project. A team of 10 volunteers will work in tasks related to nature and youth work. The project takes place in the small village of Markkuu in Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland.
Volunteers will participate in the core activities of the local village association. Tasks include eg.
- maintenance of the nature trail
- upkeeping local recreational venues (outdoor swimming area, disc golf course etc)
- planning and implementing activities for local children and youth
- creating and participating in communal events
ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
Volunteers live in a house with shared bedrooms. Some meals may be provided, and volunteers receive food money to prepare meals by themselves.
WORKING HOURS
Approx. 35 hours /week. Working days are usually from Monday to Friday, but sometimes working time can be also during weekends.
POCKET MONEY AND TRAVEL COSTS
Pocket money: 5€/day
Travel costs are reimbursed according to distance.
