Bona Fides Association and Oasi di Scacco & Hope are looking for volunteers from Poland for an amazing 10-months project running a stable and working with horses in Biella, Italy.

Start: November/December 2023
Duration: 10 months
Place: Biella, Italy

For over ten years the Oasi di Scacco & Hope Association has been offering an alternative method of approaching horse riding. In the province of Biella, in Mongrando, there is the Scacco and Hope Oasis, a project by Coretta Spalla (International Centered Riding® Instructor) and Fabio Ronchetti, who since 2006 have given life to their dream: that of living in close contact with the horses. The Scacco & Hope Oasis is not just a stable: everything was born from the arrival of Scacco, a horse donated with the aim of putting him to rest after long years spent in the stables. Since then, an experiment was born that involved many other horses, which arrived here over the years and were recovered from situations of abandonment, mistreatment and slaughter. The objective, in addition to recovery, is to try to establish a different relationship with the horse, considering each specimen for its own specificity.

Volunteers have the opportunity to learn all aspects of running a stable:

• Taking care of the stalls and horse area
• Daily cleaning and care of the horses
• Feeding and feeding management
• Learning the basics of training techniques used by us
• Learning to ride according to the method used in our stable

You will get free accommodation for the whole duration of your voluntary service. You will have single/double room and private bathroom and common kitchen.
