Bona Fides Association and Suncokret Center for Community Development are looking for participants from Poland (or Polish residents) to join short-term individual project in Vrginmost, Croatia!
Place: Vrginmost, Croatia
Starting date: from end of January 2025 onwards
Flexible durtion: from 14 to 59 days
We run both a volunteer center and a community center where we work with local children and youth. At the Suncokret community center we provide after school programs for the local children in the community (from Bosnian Croat refugee and Serb returnee families) where we provide everything from educational activities, tutoring, homework help to games, sports, fun and creative workshops. We also conduct eco gardening and maintaining our organic gardens and orchards and conduct eco construction on occasion.
At the moment we are in partnership running the following:
Suncokret Center for Community Development: afterschool non formal learning activities, arts, crafts, sports, games and play for children and youth and we work with the partners below and conduct similar activities as in Suncokret.
Kids Earth Fund Croatia: arts and crafts for children and youth, eco gardening and eco/sustainability activitiesIn Glina we are working with persons affected by the 2020 earthquakes, creating a children’s and youth program with arts, crafts, dance, and sports . Visiting elderly temporarily displaced due to the earthquakes.
