Bona Fides Association is looking for Polish volunteers for an ESC project “Hands for the Community” in Italy, hosted by Associazione Mani Tese Finale Emilia and coordinated by PiGreco – SEMI di intercultura APS.

Hands for the Community – Volunteering at Manitese Finale Emilia
Mani Tese Finale Emilia is a non-profit association based in the rural area of Modena, Italy. Their mission is to promote sustainable local economies, combat poverty and social exclusion, and foster international cooperation and they run a variety of projects, including:
• A second-hand market to promote reuse and reduce waste.
• Ceramics and tailoring workshops focused on inclusion and creativity.
• A community garden and small farm based on agroecological principles.
• Educational activities with schools on social and environmental issues.
• Cultural and social events at our inclusive community space, Bar Al Riparo.
Volunteers are at the heart of association.
Volunteer Activities
The selected volunteer will have the opportunity to:
• Support inclusive workshops in ceramics and tailoring.
• Assist in managing the community garden and animals.
• Participate in educational workshops with schools.
• Help organize public events and awareness-raising activities.
• Contribute to the second-hand market and other community projects.

Practical information
• Accommodation: Volunteers will live in a shared, fully equipped house in Finale Emilia.
• Transport: A bicycle will be provided for daily commuting to the association.
• Pocket Money: €330/month
• Working Hours: 30-35 hours/week, 5 days/week, with 2 days off every week and 2 additional holiday days/month.
Training
Volunteers will receive training for all activities, regular mentoring, On Arrival and Mid-Term training from the National Agency, and access to Online Language Support (OLS). Additional local workshops will cover non-formal education, communication, and sustainability.
Participant profile
We are looking for motivated and open-minded young people (18–30) interested in solidarity, sustainability, and community living. Creativity, sociability, teamwork, and an interest in intercultural dialogue are key. Basic English or Italian is required.
