Bona Fides Association in cooperation with Dansk ICYE is looking for 2 Polish participants (21-30yo) for a long-term project at Rejsby Efterskole in Denmark!

About us
Rejsby Efterskole is located in the small village of Rejsby, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and just 45 km
from the German border. The school hosts 139 students in 9th and 10th grade, who live and study on campus for
one full school year.
Students come from diverse social, academic, and cultural backgrounds. Life at the school is based on community, teamwork, shared routines, and responsibility.
Students live together, work together, and contribute to daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and activities.
Your role as a volunteer
Volunteers become an active part of the school’s community, daily routines, and learning environment.
Your role may include:
• Building warm, professional relationships with students
• Assisting teachers in classes related to your skills (languages, arts, sports, cultural subjects)
• Supporting students in homework, projects, or practical tasks
• Helping organize social events, workshops, and evening/weekend activities
• Participating in community life, shared meals, and daily routines
• Being part of the boarding-school environment and contributing to student well-being
• The school values openness, tolerance, friendliness, and shared responsibility, and volunteers are welcomed into this culture.
What will you learn
Volunteers receive the same pedagogical insight and didactic guidance as trainee teachers, including:
• Introduction to Danish efterskole traditions
• Experience in youth pedagogy and classroom support
• Structured mentorship, feedback, and continuous support
Accommodation
Accommodation: On campus – The volunteer will live in a two-bedroom apartment with a private bathroom,
living room, kitchen and internet. All meals on weekdays are provided, and the volunteer may also join the
students for meals on weekends.
Schedule: Weekly timetable + participation in school life
Volunteer profile
We are looking for a volunteer who is:
• 21+ years old
• Motivated, adaptable, and flexible
• Experienced in working with children or teenagers
• Ideally experienced in teaching or class support
• Interested in foreign languages (French, Spanish, or Italian is a plus)
• Open, friendly, and ready to build positive relationships with young people
Personal maturity and a genuine interest in youth development are essential.
