Bona Fides Association and the organization Mladiinfo Slovensko, are looking for polish volunteers to join their European Solidarity Corps project in a Center for autistic children in Slovakia. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Volunteers will work in the children Autistic Center in Borová, which is just a few kilometers from Trnava. This center is a space, which was created by parents of autistic children.
A volunteer will help in the following activities:
- Therapy work with children: workshops like handcraft, cooking, cleaning, etc.
- Gardening, farming, house maintenance activities with the clients
- Art, music, dance therapy
- Planning events outside of the center
- Slovak class
TRAINING, ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER ARRANGEMENTS
The accommodation, travel expenses, food and pocket money, health insurance, the support of a supervisor, the personal mentor and language course are covered and financed by the European Commission.
VOLUNTEER’S PROFILE
We are looking for a creative, responsible and open-minded candidate between 18 and 30 years old, passionate about working with children and interested in social work with autistic children. We would like that the volunteer is able to communicate in any Slavic languages.
